The Glen Rose Tigers knocked off Meridian 26-16 and fell to Grandview 26-6 in recent youth football junior division contests.

Westen Halcom did all the scoring for the Tigers with four touchdowns and a two-point conversion, while other highlights included an onside kick by Jake Andersen that was recovered by Glen Rose and a 14-yard pass to Tiger receiver Hayden Shaw.

Coaches cited Shaw, Turner Slimp, Maxx Lauderdale and River Costello as offensive standouts and Dylan Ibarra, Tanner Stroud, Justin Fowler, Justin Hankins, Abid Corralled, Christian Hurtado and Kirkland Cooper as defensive standouts.

The only scoring play for Glen Rose in the loss to Grandview was a 45-yard pass from Anderson to Halcom. Other highlights included passes to Halcom and Shaw.

Offensive standouts were Andersen, Halcom, Shaw and Cooper, while defensive standouts were Hankins, Cooper, Nicolas Lara, Will Cullen, Justin Harte, Lauderdale, Stroud and Ibarra.
