Glen Rose won five different events in JV girls track and field action in Alvarado last weekend.
Headlining the victories was a 1-2-3 finish by the Lady Tigers in the 400m dash and a victory in the 4x400m relay. Sao Sannoh won the 400m in 1:09.07, followed by Brittan Sanderson in 1:09.94 and Hannah Dias in 1:11.17. The nearest competitor from another school was more than three seconds behind third-place Dias.
Sannoh joined Mika Kelly, Jovanny Salinas and Morgan Bruce in the 4x400m, which Glen Rose finished in 4:41.28, more than 17 seconds ahead of second-place Joshua.
Other wins came from Dias in the 800m run with a time of 2:50.08, Emily Herring in the 300m hurdles in 55.78 seconds and Gabby Merghart in the triple jump at 29 feet, 7.75 inches.
In the 100m hurdles, Herring was second in 21.5 ticks, Merghart was third in 21.96 and Roxy Ruiz finished fourth in 23.03.
Katie Betsil was fourth in the 800m run in 2:58.89, Demanise Barber and Taylor Rhodes were third and fourth in the 100m dash in 13.97 and 14.22 seconds, respectively, Ruiz took third in the 300m hurdles in 56.79, Katie Vehlein was sixth in the 200m in 31.15 and Betsil scored again by finishing fifth in the 1,600m run in 6:52.56.
In the field, Merghart finished second in the long jump at 14-00, and Dias placed sixth in the same event at 12-1.5.
