The Lady Tigers varsity, junior varsity and freshman teams on Tuesday swept Hillsboro in the second round of district play.
Glen Rose varsity dominated and controlled all three games winning 26-24, 25-13 and 25-15.
After the close first game, the Lady Tigers made sure to leave no question who the better team was in the next two games with a combined 22 point advantage.
Leading the squad in service points was Destiny Ponce, who claimed 18. Reilly Junge, Kiffany Kelly and Teryl Dunn were each in the double digits as well.
Junge had her second straight match in a row where she reached 38 digs, helping the team to victory. Kelly also put up 18 passes while Dunn contributed 17.
When it came to kills, Caitlin Fellers led the way with eight followed closely by Macy Reynolds with seven.
Ponce, Junge, Fellers and Reynolds all skied for a collective 16 blocks throughout the games.
The JV also was quick to their victory over the Lady Eagles, winning game one 28-18 and game two 25-23.
Maysen Mapes led the team with eight service points followed by Mary McPherson with five. Baylie Plaster and Abby Cole each put up four points while Shelby Lacey and Meredith Odom each added three.
Lady Tigers’ freshman did not look like the newcomers when they sent Hillsboro back to the locker room after a quick two victories of 25-13 and 25-19.
Bryce Brownen stood out with 13 service points. Kalli Crabtree scored nine while Lexi Crabtree scored six. Kimberlee McCullough and Nicole Rogers also got on the board.
