Dayton Armstrong and Tanner Tongate combined for a seven-inning shutout, allowing only four hits while striking out nine batters to lead Glen Rose to a 4-0 win against Lampasas in recent JV "A" baseball action.

Justin Weatherley and Seth Thompson each had a double for the Tigers. Thompson had 2 RBI while Westley Pritchard had one. Gavin Fitzpatrick, Hayden Bach, Pritchard and Armstrong all had one hit each.

The JV Tigers weren't as fortunate in Robinson, where they lost 9-4 despite two RBI on three hits including a double by Tongate and two hits each by Jarod Morgan, Weston Snow, Bach and Pritchard.

Clayton Tubbs and Will Ory each had a hit, while Bach, Snow, Pritchard and Ory each crossed home plate once to account for the Glen Rose scoring.

Morgan and Ory had an RBI each to go with Tongate's big day.

On the mound, Bach pitched three innings and allowed four runs on seven hits. Thompson surrendered five runs on four hits and a pair of walks in one inning of relief.
