The Glen Rose High School varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders recently attended a national Cheerleaders Association Camp at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, where they won multiple awards.

Glen Rose was the camp's national championship bid winner for exemplifying the best technical skill and cheerleading technique. The bid means they are extended an invitation to compete at the NCA Senior and Junior High School National Championship in Dallas. GRHS was also awarded for top team performance.

All members of the  varsity and JV squads were nominated for the All-American team, and Katie Betsill, Taylor Bryant, Jessie Calkins and Jaylan Dillard, Payton Downing, Macy Reynolds, Taylor Rhodes and Britton Sanderson from the varsity squad were selected to the team. JV team members earning All-American status include Keelee Dugger, Bri Hulsey, Shelby Rotan and Tyne Sexton. Kourtney Smith, who plays the role of mascot "Tuffy,", received the honor of All-American mascot.
