Retraction regarding Opendoor Food Bank story

We made an error, and I apologize. The story about the Opendoor Foodbank opening is not accurate. I was emailed by Mr. Jeff Steele informing me that the article was incorred: “My name is Jeff Steele with Opendoor Foodbank. The article you ran about Opendoor Foodbank opening a Foodbank in GLEN ROSE is not correct. Local mother spreads awareness with ‘Gold Out’

GLEN ROSE — For the past four years, Glen Rose schools and the Historic Square are decorated in gold ribbons for September. Nationwide, September is pediatric cancer awareness month, and the gold ribbons are meant to bring awareness to this type of cancer.

By Hannah Barricks GLEN ROSE — Glen Rose ISD’s total tax rate is staying put at .975 cents, the board of trustees voted during their monthly meeting last week. While the total rate did not change, the maintenance and operations rate went down to .8546 and the interest and sinking tax rate changed to .1204.

HICO - The Glen Rose girls cross country team had three runners place in the top eight in leading the Lady Tigers to a second-place finish at the Bluebonnet Invitational on Wednesday in Hico. “Hico is one of the hilliest, toughest courses that we run all year,” Glen Rose girls cross country coach Ramsey Ghazal said.
