Tracks of Honor celebrates local first responders and volunteers

GLEN ROSE —The Glen Rose community gathered at the historic Downtown Square last Saturday to celebrate the bravery and achievements of its first responders in the wake of the Chalk Mountain Fire. “We thought it would be good to come together without a need, but rather a celebration,” Marilyn Philips, a volunteer and sponsor for the event, explained further.

Teacher Spotlight for September

GLEN ROSE Grounded Coffee and Cheerful Heart continue to sponsor and recognize the hardworking teachers and staff in the Glen Rose school district in collaboration with the school board. For the Month of September, the Glen Rose Intermediate School recognizes librarian Shelley Statler and Instructional Aide Martha Stadler.

In the story titled “Fort Worth woman dies in accident on US 67” in the Oct. 7 issue of the Glen Rose Reporter, the woman who died in the Saturday, Oct. 1 accident, was misidentified in the report given to the Glen Rose Reporter by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
