Tigers open plays with Graham Friday

GLEN ROSE — The ninth-ranked Glen Rose Tigers wrapped up their seventh consecutive undefeated district championship on Friday night with a 5627 victory over Ferris at Tiger Stadium. “It says a lot about our guys,” said Glen Rose football coach Cliff Watkins, who has yet to lose a district contest at the helm of the Tigers.

We Need a Recount

It had been a long and tedious day. The country was raw and rough, and it had taken its toll. The handlers brought the gates around and securely closed them. At last, they were all penned and safe. The gathering had taken most of the day, but it had worked well despite the hours spent. Hopefully, the head count would be correct, and they could be about their business of moving the sheep to the new grazing area. It would be good to get back to camp. As the herd milled and stewed some men sat on the ground while a couple of others followed the herdsman.

City establishes guidelines for the farmer’s market

Glen Rose- The Glen Rose Farmer’s Market has recently established guidelines to support its original ordinance. “For code enforcement to monitor (the market) or to even write a ticket, we have to have some type of permit for everyone to have,” said Kelly Harris of Glen Rose City Council. “There are state guidelines we must follow for our farmers market, or we could lose it.”
