Safe Treats celebration at the Square

GLEN ROSE — The Historic Downtown Square hosted a different- looking crowd this weekend as the community came out in droves for the Glen Rose Safe Treat’s Halloween event on Halloween night. Children dressed up as dinosaurs and even police cars and went from shop to shop on the Square to collect candy from various community vendors. The City of Glen Rose officiated the event to ensure the maximum safety of both the candy and the environment. Vendors set up holiday games for the children and adults in attendance, and game monitors kept an eye on the gameplay for efficiency. Some highlights from the event include a guided horse ride outside of city hall, a face-painting station and various raffles.
