Glen Rose’s Caden Smith scored 15 points and Zeke Niedziela added 13 more in leading the Runnin’ Tigers to a 46-31 District 6-4A victory over Stephenville on Tuesday night.
For the second time in three years, the Glen Rose Runnin’ Tigers are the District 6-4A champions.
The Lady Tigers, winners of eight straight games, tied a school record for points scored in a game in the 94-20 win, while knocking down a school-record 15 3-pointers.
Senior Bryce Birl paced the Tigers with 20 points, while senior Caden Smith added 13 more in the Tigers’ 16-point victory.
The Lady Tigers can wrap up a share of the district crown today when they travel to Mineral Wells for a 1 p.m. meeting with the Lady Rams.
