City up, county down big in July sales tax allocation
GLEN ROSE — The city of Glen Rose and Somervell County were on opposite ends of the spectrum when Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar released the monthly sales tax allocation last week.
Glen Rose Girl Scouts give back to their hometown heroes
GLEN ROSE — On July 9 and 11, Girl Scout Troops 2341 and 2325 personally delivered 236 boxes of cookies and containers of mixed nuts, which amounted to $1,472 in sales and donations, to hometown heroes at the Glen Rose Medical Center, Somervell County Sheriff's Office, Somervell County Fire Department, and Glen Rose Police Department.

Ronnie and Martha, Texas residents, own a condo and real estate with a cabin in Colorado. Ronnie leaves a fishing boat, trailer and pick-up, all registered in Colorado, at the cabin. Ronnie maintains an IRA managed by a Colorado brokerage firm, containing earnings from his 10 years with a company in that state.
