Tigers can't hold late lead in 41-40 loss to Robinson

WACO — The Glen Rose Tigers led by 19 points with just over three minutes left in the third quarter last Friday night at Robinson, but they wouldn’t score again as the Rockets posted a thrilling 41-40 come-from-behind victory to hold the Tigers winless in 2025. The Rockets scored 20 unanswered points, and took their first lead of the game since leading 7-0 with 40 seconds left in the contest on a 24-yard run by Evan Moreno, who scored three times in the contest.

Texas Farm Bureau advocates for ag literacy

GLEN ROSE — Josh Beaty, area field representative for the Texas Farm Bureau, addressed the Glen Rose Somervell County Chamber of Commerce luncheon last week at Double S Ranch, offering an in-depth look at the organization’s mission, programs and impact on agriculture across the state. Founded in 1933, Beaty explained that the Texas Farm Bureau is a grassroots, membership-driven organization representing more than 500,000 families statewide.
