Tyson Gibson, the son of the late Somervell County Sheriff Sergeant Stephen Gibson and his wife Stephanie, was sworn in as the SCSOs newest corrections officer on Monday by Somervell County Sheriff Alan West, and his mother pinned on his badge. Sgt. Gibson, who worked in the SCSO for 26 years, was tragically killed in an on-duty traffic accident in the early morning of Dec. 13, 2023.
