Activities at the Center beginning Nov. 10 are: John Cunyus book review, Wal-Mart shopping and Master Gardeners on Monday; needlework, exercise, ceramics and Tops on Tuesday; health screening, Dollar General shopping and Thanksgiving lunch on Wednesday; TOPS, art and Davidís grocery shopping on Thursday; quilting, bingo, catfish for lunch and Brookshireís grocery shopping on Friday. Just a reminder for you, our ceramics has been moved from Mondays to Tuesdays.
Thanksgiving lunch will be served at the Citizenís Center on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at noon. Please call 897-2139 for your reservation before Nov. 12. The meal charge at the Citizenís Center is $3.50 for folks over 60 years of age and $5 for anyone under 60 years of age.
John Cunyus will be at the Citizenís Center on Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. to noon. John has recently written a book entitled The Way of Wisdom. The book is a fresh translation of the Latin versions of Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon. Come and join us for a discussion on this topic.
Kelly Owen, a representative of Atmos Energy, will be at the Citizenís Center on Nov. 19 at 11:30 a.m. for a program. Kelly mentioned that she might bring some door prizes, sounds like fun to me.
Hammondís BBQ is offering their 10th Annual Free Thanksgiving Meal on Thursday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our hats off to Larry Higgins, owner of Hammondís BBQ. What a great service to our community!
