GLEN ROSE - Cindy Layton, 59, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, in Glen Rose.
Memorial services were held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at Wiley Funeral Home.
Cindy was born Nov. 3, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, to Carl and Wanda Brough Larson. She started working for Brown & Root Construction at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in 1979. In 1982, she worked at the Squaw Creek Park restaurant as a waitress. In 1983, she went back to work for Brown & Root and worked for them until 1989. She then worked for the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department, as a jailer, until returning to school and becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She worked in the metroplex and for six years in Glen Rose.
Survivors include son, Jeff Layton and girlfriend, Michelle Martin, both of Glen Rose; daughter, Mistie Thompson and husband, Steven of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Jeffery Alan Layton, Brandon Jeffery Layton, II, Eric Layton, Rachel Taylor, Canyon Thompson; and a brother, Scott Larson of Flagstaff, Ariz.
