William Crawford Young
RIVER OAKS - William Crawford Young, 77, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, at his home. Funeral services were held at the Biggers Funeral Chapel and committal service at Nancy Smith Cemetery.
Mr. Young was born in Whitesboro and had lived in the area for most of his life. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was an active member of VFW Post #8235. In July 1997, Crawford was married to Louise “Tootice” McCoy Baker in Benbrook.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Mamie Young; brothers, Billy Joe Young, Jessie Mack Young, Joe Oliver Young and Rex Wright; and sisters, Alta Faye Zanewych and Sha L. Navejar.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Baker Young; children, Ronny Young and wife, Karen, Sandra Gibson and husband, Hugh, D’Wayne Young, Ronnie Baker and wife, Dee Dee, Norman and Terry Hopkins; sister, Charm Gonzales; brothers, Howard “Preacher” Young and Jerry Young; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
