The Glen Rose Independent School District (GRISD) Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, March 30 in the Administration Building and one of the first items of business is recognizing student achievements.
State FCCLA qualifiers and Visual Arts Scholastic Event state qualifiers will be honored by the board for their accomplishments.
The board will hear reports from the Junior High campus on enrollment and activities. They will also receive Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skill reading test results for the third, fifth and eighth grades.
Superintendent Wayne Rotan will update board members on district enrollment numbers and pertinent legislation.
The districtís monthly financial report will also be received.
Board members will consider seven action items including buying new band uniforms. They will consider naming Judy Shipman and Tommy Gibson as authorized investment officers. Gibson will also be considered as an authorized official to sign personnel records.
The districtís depository contract is up for renewal and board members will decide if the contract should be extended.
They will also discuss how to solicit bids for replacement heating and air conditioning units.
A resolution supporting the Regional Transportation Council Clean Fleet vehicle policy will be presented and board members will consider its approval.
Contracts for campus instructional facilitators, teachers, counselors, librarians, nurses, child nutrition coordinator, speech pathologists, diagnosticians, occupational therapist and technical support specialists will be negotiated during a closed session.
