Classes of Glen Rose High School from 1944 to 1968 held a reunion last Saturday that attracted more alumni from those decades than many classmates could recall.
The event, held at the Somervell County Citizens Center, drew 142 people from around Texas. Some came from as far away as Oklahoma.
"It's a good gathering," said Windell Rozelle from the Class of 1948. "This is an excellent turnout."
Juanita Rozelle Ward of the Class of 1944 represented the oldest class and was the only person from that year who attended the reunion.
High school sweethearts Billie and Eddie Flanary were among those from the Class of 1954. The Class of 1961 drew the most attendees, with more than a dozen former students coming back for the reunion.
Hammondís Bar-B-Q catered the event and the center was bedecked with balloons and decorations.
