EULA - Marilyn Ruth Helms of Eula died on Oct. 21 on her 78th birthday.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, in the Duncan Cemetery in Duncan, Okla.

Mrs. Helms was born Oct. 21, 1933, in Wichita Falls to Glen and Ruth (Jones) McCalister.

She attended school in Duncan, Okla., and worked at Macís T.V. After moving to Texas she was an over-the-road truck driver during an era when there were very few woman truck drivers.

Mrs. Helms is survived by one daughter, Billie Ann Ivy, and husband, Larry, of Eula; three sons, David Peck and wife, Sherry, of Oklahoma City, Rick Peck of Duncan, Okla., and Byron Stinson and wife, Tammy, of Glen Rose; one sister, Glenda Maeger, and husband, Roy, of Kilgore; 16 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Bill Peck and Charlie Helms, and two great-grandchildren.
