I’m writing this on Thursday of last week. My day is winding down, the Blonde picked up a pizza, which is something we never do.
GLEN ROSE — The Glen Rose chapter of All Pro Dad held a carwash on June 28 at the Glen Rose First Methodist Church to fund the operational costs of its second year.
The Texas Hill Country is reeling after a devastating flood with a confirmed death toll of at least 84 people killed by the flooding in Kerr County and 161 people still missing, authorities said. Confirmed deaths in surrounding counties pushed the storm's overall toll to more than 100.
GLEN ROSE — The Hood/Somervell County Farm Bureau donated 100 pounds of ground beef to Papa's Pantry Food Bank this month as part of its commitment to combat food insecurity through the statewide Farmers Feeding Families program.
GLEN ROSE — Somervell County Precinct 3 Commissioner Chip Joslin has formally opposed the renewal of the Wolf Hollow I Power Plant's wastewater discharge permit, citing environmental and public health concerns for downstream communities.
The past weekend is undoubtedly one of the worst in the history of our great state. As I sit and watch videos and read the stories about the flooding in Kerr County, my emotions stir with sadness.
