HOOD COUNTY — A growing group of Hood County residents is pushing to reclaim local control over industrial expansion by incorporating the Mitchell Bend area near Contrary Creek and Wolf Hollow Court between Glen Rose and Granbury to combat Texas' diminishing municipal powers. Mambrino Baptist Church is hosting a town hall meeting to address growing community questions and concerns about the move at 5 p.m.

GLEN ROSE — The Glen Rose community came out last Monday afternoon to cheer on the Glen Rose Lady Tigers Varsity Golf Team as they departed for the State Championship at Legends Golf Course in Kingsland after securing second place at regionals — marking the first time in school history that the girl's golf team has advanced to the state competition.
