Voice of Glen Rose senior soprano Avril Tovar was ranked third chair at the TMEA Small School Choir Pre-area Auditions on Nov. 11, at Benbrook High School, and she has qualified for the Area North Division Jan. 7 at Texas Woman’s University in Denton.
GLEN ROSE — Glen Rose High School head athletic trainer Bo Bryant admits he doesn’t feel qualified to lead the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at GRHS, but he is taking a step of faith and trusting in what God has in store for he and his wife in Glen Rose.
For the first time since 2016, the Glen Rose High School Class of 1966 met for a class reunion on Saturday at the home of Cathy and Ronald Hankins in Rainbow. The reunion was originally set to be held in 2021 but was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

GLEN ROSE — The Historic Downtown Square hosted a different- looking crowd this weekend as the community came out in droves for the Glen Rose Safe Treat’s Halloween event on Halloween night. Children dressed up as dinosaurs and even police cars and went from shop to shop on the Square to collect candy from various community vendors. The City of Glen Rose officiated the event to ensure the maximum safety of both the candy and the environment. Vendors set up holiday games for the children and adults in attendance, and game monitors kept an eye on the gameplay for efficiency. Some highlights from the event include a guided horse ride outside of city hall, a face-painting station and various raffles.

LIBERTY HILL — The Glen Rose Tiger Pride Band continued performing for a chance at winning the UIL Area Competition at Liberty Hill last Saturday, but it did not advance. Family members of the band poured out their support for the Tigers with heartfelt posts online.
