GLEN ROSE — The Beehive Cafe hosted the monthly Glen Rose Chamber of Commerce meeting on Nov. 17, and the guest speaker was Kelly Harris from Explore Glen Rose.

GLEN ROSE — Glen Rose 4-H Vice-President Charlie Outen won Officer of the Month for the club for November. Outen is the daughter of Chris and Shannon Outen of Glen Rose and Rainbow, Texas.

GLEN ROSE — Voice of Glen Rose senior soprano Avril Tovar was ranked third chair at the TMEA Small School Choir Pre-area Auditions on Nov. 11, at Benbrook High School, she has qualified for the Area North Division Jan. 7 at Texas Woman’s University in Denton.

DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and RecruitMilitary will co-host the National Virtual All Veterans Job Fair November 22nd from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. EST. The event is free to veterans, their spouses, active-duty military personnel and members of the National Guard and Reserve.

Shop Small Saturday is a national campaign and one of the most influential in encouraging consumers to spend their dollars locally or to support small businesses. A crucial element of these campaigns is for small business owners to join in to provide their unique voice to the marketing.

GLEN ROSE — With one more reporting month left in 2022, the City of Glen Rose is poised to have its best year in sales tax allocation ever. Earlier this month, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar distributed $162,275.23 to the city in monthly sales tax allocation, bringing the city’s total to $1,592,477.41, a 9.43% increase over the same reporting period in November 2021 when it received $148,290.73.

GLEN ROSE — The American Legion Oliver Windell Buzan Post 462 from Glen Rose, in conjunction with the Convention and Visitors Bureau, hosted the annual Veterans Day celebration Nov. 11, honoring local servicemen and women from Glen Rose.
