Water main break near Summit Ridge; boil notice will be in place
The City of Glen Rose has been working since early Friday to repair a water main leak in the area of 4th Street and Elm Street, and there is no estimated time on when the repairs will be completed.
Chalk Mountain listed at 93% contained
GLEN ROSE — The Southern Area Incident Management Team delivered its final update on the Chalk Mountain Fire on Tuesday night before transferring authority to the Texas A&M Forest Service, and it reported the fire to be 93% contained.
Erath Co. Sheriff’s Office looking for missing Stephenville woman

I’m hungry for the way it used to be. I look around and find it harder and harder to tolerate rude behavior, disrespect, contempt, and insolence. What was it that Captain Woodrow Call said in Lonesome Dove, “I hate rudeness in a man, just won’t tolerateit.” I’m old school. I’m traditional. I hate it when phones and gadgets are more important than people and we text versus meeting and having a discussion. What happened to respect and courtesy and a loving regard for someone’s else feelings? It’s called empathy, by the way.
