Field of Flags: honoring veterans and uniting the community

GLEN ROSE — The upcoming Field of Flags installation, organized for the second year by the Glen Rose community in partnership with the non-profit board members Angela Conway, Darren Jones, Calen Bullard, Clint Beatty, and Horacio Chito Berrones, aims to unite generations in remembrance and celebration of military service on Memorial Day. "It brings a sense of acknowledgment," said veteran and board treasurer Conway about the event.

Solar farm project suggests a symbiotic relationship with GRISD

GLEN ROSE — At the recent Glen Rose ISD school board meeting, Michael Klein, the project manager for EE North America's Rain Lily Solar and Storage Project, presented an overview of the proposed solar development, highlighting its potential economic and educational benefits for the community. Located in Hood County, about six miles north of Glen Rose, the Rain Lily Solar Farm will cover approximately 810 acres.
