Project Graduation nets close to $100K

GLEN ROSE — The Glen Rose High School Class of 2022 will have just less than $100,000 to use for Project Graduation after ceremonies on May 27. The annual Spaghetti Supper and Auction, organized by The New Focus of Somervell County and the Class of 2022, raised just more than $96,000 that will fund the party that will allow graduating seniors to attend an allnight party free from drugs and alcohol.

WHO: COVID-19 has killed about 15M

LONDON – The World Health Organization estimates that about 15 million people were killed either by coronavirus or by its impact on overwhelmed health systems in the past two years, more than double the official death toll of 6 million. Most of the fatalities were in Southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Oath Keeper from NC pleads guilty to seditious conspiracy A North Carolina man pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiring with other members of the far-right Oath Keepers militia group to forcefully halt the peaceful transfer of power after President Joe Biden’s 2020 electoral victory. ACC students seek housing help

Kay Trent was already attending Austin Community College while living in the San Antonio area when she decided to moved to Austin to qualify for lower tuition rates. Trent, 29, a former English as a second language teacher, sold nearly all of her belongings to move to the city about eight months ago and then was immediately confronted by the city’s high rents.
