Glen Rose woman explores connection to D-Day from a soldier's letters home

GLEN ROSE — Community elder Brenda Ransom, whose uncle provided the namesake for the American Legion Oliver Windell Buzan Post 462, recently shared the story of another relative, W.B. "Dan" Buzan, who served in the Army's 219th Field Artillery Battalion as a radio repair specialist, and whose involvement in World War II has long been a source of family pride.

Governor comes to Glen Rose

GLEN ROSE — Sexton Feed Mill hosted Gov. Greg Abbott at the end of May, and members of the Somervell County Republican Party and Club, who did not attend the Texas GOP Conference on the same day, as well as members of the community, came out in full force to welcome him.
