GLEN ROSE — Residents and local officials from Somervell and Hood counties have raised formal objections to permit requests for two power plants within their joint jurisdiction after learning about possible environmental and public health concerns that could impact their communities. In Hood County, grassroots organization Protect Hood County submitted a letter on June 21 to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), requesting a public meeting and contested case hearing regarding the proposed renewal of TPDES Permit No.
