Tiger tennis ups record to 3-1 early in fall season

Proposed overlay district raises concern
GLEN ROSE — The city of Glen Rose Planning and Zoning Commission heard from residents last week about the proposed Downtown Overlay District, with several property owners voicing concerns over how the plan could affect the character of the city’s historic square. The July 23 meeting at City Hall drew attention after property owners within 200 feet of the proposed district received official notices about the public hearing.

Glen Rose cadets earn rare national honor
GRANBURY — Two Glen Rose teens join elite company after earning the Civil Air Patrol's highest cadet honor, the General Carl A. Spaatz Award, whose recipients make up less than 0.5% of all cadets nationwide and throughout the program’s history.
