Tiger tennis ups record to 3-1 early in fall season
GLEN ROSE — A pair of victories last week ran the record of the Glen Rose Tiger Tennis team to 3-1 after the first two weeks of the season, and they did it in fine fashion.

GLEN ROSE — Glen Rose ISD is enforcing a new cell phone and electronic device policy beginning Aug. 13, the first day of school, in compliance with Texas House Bill 1481, passed during the 89th Legislative Session.

BOYD — For the sixth consecutive season, the Glen Rose Lady Tigers opened the season at Boyd High School on Tuesday night with dual matches with Sanger and Boyd.
Proposed overlay district raises concern
GLEN ROSE — The city of Glen Rose Planning and Zoning Commission heard from residents last week about the proposed Downtown Overlay District, with several property owners voicing concerns over how the plan could affect the character of the city’s historic square. The July 23 meeting at City Hall drew attention after property owners within 200 feet of the proposed district received official notices about the public hearing.

Glen Rose cadets earn rare national honor
GRANBURY — Two Glen Rose teens join elite company after earning the Civil Air Patrol's highest cadet honor, the General Carl A. Spaatz Award, whose recipients make up less than 0.5% of all cadets nationwide and throughout the program’s history.
