Mesquite Street becomes one-way

GLEN ROSE- At the December 2024 Glen Rose City Council meeting, a unanimous decision was made to convert Mesquite Street into a one-way street between Live Oak Street and Hill Street. This change, recommended by Police Chief Martin and supported by City Council members, aims to address growing safety concerns in the area, particularly at the intersection of Mesquite and Live Oak.

'Movers and Shakers' exercise group expands to meet growing demand

GLEN ROSE- In response to increasing participation, the "Movers and Shakers" exercise group, led by Dwin Staples, is introducing an additional chair exercise class. Starting in January, a month synonymous with new beginnings and restored tenacity, Staples will resume sessions in the First Baptist Church, opening the gym for those willing to break a sweat on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9 a.m., with the new class making its debut at 10 a.m.
