GLEN ROSE– The Glen Rose Field of Flags will again grace the community this Memorial Day Weekend, May 23-26, 2025, at the Glen Rose High School, offering the community an opportunity to pay tribute to its local heroes at the installation of hundreds of high-quality American flags. Following a successful inaugural year under the current leadership of military and nonmilitary members dedicated to education and charity, the nonprofit organization introduced a new feature to families honoring loved ones.
GLEN ROSE- Helen Kerwin of Glen Rose has officially taken her seat as the District 58 representative in the Texas House of Representatives, beginning her term surrounded by family, friends and a deep sense of responsibility. Sitting at Desk 83 in the House Chamber, Kerwin reflected on the legacy of those before her.
GLEN ROSE— The Glen Rose Tiger baseball team will have close to a dozen first-time varsity players when the open the season in late February, but coach Heath Herron has a good group of returning players who will play key roles as the the new faces become familiar with the new level of baseball. The Tigers opened practice two weeks ago, and Herron said they have been focusing a lot of time on the fundamentals and pitching at getting arms in shape.
GLEN ROSE— The Glen Rose Tiger spring tennis teams had their first scrimmage of the year last Monday at Glen Rose in preparation for their Feb. 14 season opener with Fort Worth Northside at the McLeland Tennis Center in Fort Worth.
