New security measures coming to Somervell County Annex
GLEN ROSE — Starting June 16, visitors to the Somervell County Annex must accommodate public safety protocols limiting their entry to a single point of access and introducing screening measures for all who enter the building.

HOOD COUNTY — A growing group of Hood County residents is pushing to reclaim local control over industrial expansion by incorporating the Mitchell Bend area near Contrary Creek and Wolf Hollow Court between Glen Rose and Granbury to combat Texas' diminishing municipal powers. Mambrino Baptist Church is hosting a town hall meeting to address growing community questions and concerns about the move at 5 p.m.

Lady Tigers ready to tee it up at state
GLEN ROSE — Glen Rose golf coach Owen Clifton gave his team one day to celebrate their second-place finish at the Class 4A Region 1 golf meet two weeks ago, and then it was back to work for the Lady Tigers in preparation for their first-ever state berth. “We hope this will become the expectation, not the exception,” Clifton said.
