Eddie Routh, the man accused of gunning down two men Saturday at Rough Creek Lodge has been tasered in his jail cell after becoming aggressive with jailers, according to Sheriff Tommy Bryant.
“After he ate dinner, he refused to give his tray back to the jailers,” Bryant said Sunday night. “He became aggressive and tried to assault them so they tasered him.”
Routh, 25, is being held in Erath County Jail on a $3 million bond for killing Chris Kyle, 38, and Chad Littlefield, 35, at a gun range at Rough Creek Lodge Saturday.
Bryant said Routh is restrained in a chair inside his cell, where he is being kept isolated from other inmates.
Bryant also said Sunday there have been several death threats made against Routh since his arrest.
