HOOD COUNTY - It's a bird! No, it's a plane!

No, actually it is a young kangaroo that has decided to join the likes of the infamous zebra in the headlines around Hood and Somervell Counties.

On Tuesday, Feb. 10 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Hood County Sheriff's deputies and Hood County Animal Control were toned out to the 400 block of Marigold Ct. located just outside of the Granbury city limits.

Upon arrival, the officers found a "loose kangaroo hopping down" the roadway of Marigold Ct.

As of press time, deputies and animal control were attempting to locate the owner of the aforementioned escapee and anyone with information on who the trouble-from-down-under may belong to is encouraged to contact the Hood County Sheriff's Department.
