Volunteer Opportunity: The patients of Alpha Omega Hospice need volunteer visits for emotional support, companionship, pet visits, music and more. Adults and Teens, 16 and up, spend an hour or two a week after orientation. Regular person-to-person service lifts the spirits of the giver as well as the receiver. Scholarship

The J. M. McCroskey Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Somervell County Citizen’s Association will award a $1,000 college scholarship to a deserving 2016 graduating senior of Glen Rose High School. They will also award a second scholarship for $500 to a senior student who expects to study art at the collegiate level.
