Volunteer Opportunities:

The patients of Alpha Omega Hospice need volunteer visits for emotional support, companionship, pet visits, music and more. Adults and Teens, 16 and up, spend an hour or two a week after orientation. Scholarship Opportunities:

The J. M. McCroskey Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Somervell County Citizen’s Association will award a $1,000 college scholarship to a deserving 2016 graduating senior of Glen Rose High School. They will also award a second scholarship for $500 to a senior student who expects to study art at the collegiate level. Animal Enrichment: Go Ahead, Make My Day!

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Fossil Rim Wildlife Park: Investigate the process of enrichment for animals in captivity. See how places like Fossil Rim keep their animals stimulated, healthy and happy. Participants will make enrichment items and then watch some animals and/or birds in the Children’s Animal Center enjoy their gifts.
