GLEN ROSE - This week’s featured pet is 2-year-old Grace. Her owner recently turned her over to Glen Rose Animal Control and she is now looking for a forever home.

Grace is Black Lab and German Shepherd-mix. Loretta Adams of GRAC describes Grace as a sweet and loving girl. She said that Grace will nuzzle her head in their hands just to be pet. So far, she hasn’t show any aggression towards the staff members at the shelter.

Upon adoption Grace will need to be spayed and have her rabies shot.

Grace isn’t the only animal looking for a family to call her own. Adams anticipates that they will be at capacity soon, with plenty of furry creatures looking for loving homes.

If you would like to adopt from GRAC you will need to prepay a veterinarian of your choice for the cost of spaying or neutering and rabies shots. Once that is done you can fill out the adoption papers and take your new friend home. When the spaying or neutering is complete you will need to return to the shelter with proof, so that they may update their records.

If you are interested in Grace or any of the other adoptable pets, you can contact GRAC at 254-897-3113 or visit them at 1685 N. FM 56.
