GLEN ROSE – Had it not of been for the four-run limit set on each inning, the Glen Rose junior varsity may still be batting in the bottom of the first. The Tigers’ JV White team plated four runs in the first and third innings en route to its 11-1 run-rule win Tuesday over Keene.

Batting in the leadoff spot, Briley Green reached base to start both of the run-limit innings – a five-pitch walk in the first and single to left field in the third – and scored both times. Dalton Schenker and Camden Reynolds each scored three runs with five walks between them, Cordel Whitefield scored twice and Westin Halcom scored once.

Whitefield led the way at the plate for the Tigers after recording a two-run triple in the third inning and two-run double to end the game in the fifth inning.

Seth Love took the ball to start the game on the mound and went two innings with a strikeout, two walks and one run.

Connor Hansen came on in relief to record the final nine outs and received the win. Hansen struck out six Charger batters, walked two and allowed just one hit with no runs.

The Tigers will look to run the current district win streak to six games when they travel to Peaster for a 4:30 p.m. Friday matinee.
