GLEN ROSE – The Lady Tigers dropped their second-straight 11-3A game, along with the season series, against No. 3 Brock by way of a 9-0 loss Tuesday in Glen Rose.

Lady Eagle pitcher, Lauren Lightfoot struck out 15 of the 24 batters she faced, walked one and allowed just three hits during her seven-inning complete-game outing.

Jaci Bridges drew the lone walk for one of the nine Lady Tiger quality at-bats on the rainy evening. Shortstop Destenie Lewis went 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of singles. Madi Gibson added the third Lady Tiger hit – a first inning single to put runners on first and second with two outs.

Four hits and three walks resulted in four runs in the top of the third inning for the first-of-two big-run innings for the Lady Eagles. Brock scratched a run in the fourth and three more in the fifth inning to cap its nine-run total.

The game marked the second time this season that the Lady Tigers and Tiger baseball team have lost to Brock by the exact same score. The first occurrence came Feb. 18 in Brock when the Eagles and Lady Eagles won the two games 11-1, respectively.

Two of the last three games this season for (10-16, 4-7) Glen Rose will come on the road – April 15 in Grandview and April 22 in Millsap. The Lady Tigers will host their final home game of the season Tuesday, April 19 against Hillsboro. All three games are slated for a 7 p.m. first pitch.
