GLEN ROSE - The Lady Tiger golf team finished up its 2016 season with an eighth place finish in the UIL Region II tournament on Tuesday afternoon at Peach Tree Golf Course in Bullard, TX.

Glen Rose fired off its lowest round of the season on day one of the tournament.

Madison McKinney carded a team-low 90 to lead the way to the 368 day-one team total for the Lady Tigers on the links-style course built in 1984.

Bailey Brown finished two shots back with a 92, while Madison Wooten and Carrolline Kickhoefer each carded 93's. Claire Boswell shot a 105, but it is the four top scores that factored into the season-low for the Lady Tigers.

On day two it was again McKinney who carded the low total, as she managed to shave a stroke off of her day one score for an 89 and a 179 tournament total.

Wooten matched her 93 from day one for a 186 tournament total, Kickhoefer carded a 95 (188 total), Brown a 103 (195 total) and Boswell a 104 (209 total).

The Lady Tigers' 748 team mark was 109 strokes fewer than their 857 two-day total during the 11-3A tournament.
