GLEN ROSE – The 20th annual Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament is quickly approaching and teams are filling fast.

The four-person scramble format is scheduled for a noon-shotgun start on Friday May 13 at Squaw Valley Golf Course. In addition to the $75 entry fee, Lions club spokesperson, Linda Rowe said participants will have the opportunity to participate in closest to the pin, a $5 golf ball lottery, “buy and eagle” or mulligan and even have the chance to use a golf ball launcher for a longest drive competition.

According to Rowe and as all Lions Club fundraisers go, all proceeds from the event will be returned directly back into the Glen Rose and Somervell County community.

The Glen Rose Lions Club uses fundraisers to help provide assistance to a plethora of local charities, youth programs, societies and organizations. The club also provides eight $1,000 scholarships to graduating Glen Rose High School seniors.
