Jim Looked forward to walking with the Lord Jesus Christ, unendingly, as described in his favorite song titled, "My God and I".

He loved God, his family, his friends and First Baptist Church family. Jim enjoyed singing in the choir, especially if he could stand next to a stronger bass singer, in praising the Lord. His playing the harmonica was enjoyed by all. He looked forward each week to meeting with the Men's Sunday School Class that provided Biblical guidance for his daily life.

Jim was born in Eldorado, Kansas to James Claud and Ruth Edna Ridenour Stull on January 13, 1924. He graduated from Nickerson, KS High School and McPherson College, McPherson, KS where he met and married Ila Verne, his love for 69 years.

During World War II, he served 2 1/2 years in the Army Air Corps as an airplane and engine mechanic and later, as a civilian, he was a Jet Aircraft Mechanics Instructor at Amarillo, Texas Air Force Base. He was Chief of Instructional Systems Development for flight training on C-5 and C-141 aircraft at Altus AFB, OK in the 443rd Technical Training Spuadron.

Upon retirement from Federal Civil Service, Jim was employed four years at the Vernon State Hospital as teen drug rehab academic teacher and then as Director of Fire and Safety for the hospital.

The next move for Jim & wife, Ila Verne, was to Lubbock, Texas to be closer to her aging mother. They lived in Lubbock 18 years in retirement where both enjoyed serving the Lord in many capacities.

Since moving to Glen Rose in 2004, he has served in various areas of service to the Lord and Somervell County Citizens Center.

Jim's final physical resting place will be Squaw Creek Cemetery, Rainbow, TX. His spiritual life will be with Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Russel Stull, one grandson, William E "Billy Gene" Stull, Jr.
