GLEN ROSE – To the surprise of few, an appeal of the May 4 ruling by District Judge John E. Neill of the 18th District Court of the State of Texas in favor of the Somervell County Central Appraisal District was filed by the plaintiff, Luminant Generation Company LLC.

"Plaintiff Luminant Generation Company LLC desires to appeal in connection with Luminant Generation Company LLC v. Somervell Central Appraisal District, [...] and hereby gives notice of its appeal to the Tenth Court of Appeals in Waco," the appeal reads.

Luminant had 30 days to file the Notice of Appeal, and, according to court documents, the notice was filed June 1 – three days prior to the window closing.

A court date had not been set as of press time.
