Come help us celebrate January birthdays with live music and pot roast and all the trimmings, including birthday cake at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25.

We are now accepting applications for part-time drivers. Come by the Center to apply.

On Friday, Jan. 27, David Gunter will be the DJ of some good old country music. Doors open at 6 p.m. $5 at the door.

Winners of last week’s Bunco tournament were: Norma Wright with the most Buncos, Pat Thompson with the most wins and Carole Kofke with the most losses. Others playing were: Betty Flanagan, Ann Parham and Caroline Abrego.

Activities at the Citizen’s Center beginning Jan. 23: Chess and Bingo on Monday, wood carving on Tuesday; Bunco tournament, blood pressure testing GRMC, January birthday celebration w/ live music by Margie Hartsfield and Dollar General shopping trip on Wednesday; Chess and local grocery shopping on Thursday and dance featuring DJ David Gunter, Bingo and local grocery shopping on Friday.

Besides the scheduled activities, there are games, puzzles, Forty Two and visiting going on every day. Don’t see it on the calendar? Make a suggestion; we’re always looking for new ideas.

If you know anyone who may need meals, transportation, an emergency response system, medical equipment, Food Stamps (SNAP) or Food Bank applications, utility assistance applications or any other senior oriented services, please call or come by the Center.
