We will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20, in observance of Presidents Day.
Come help us celebrate all the birthdays in the month of love. We will have live music by Margie Hartsfield and pot roast with all the fixings and, of course, birthday cake.
Our next dance will be Friday, Feb. 24. David Gunter will be spinning the country favorites. Doors open at 6:00. $5 at the door.
Winners of last week’s Bunco tournament were: Betty Flanagan with the most Buncos, Janet Stacy with the most wins and Jackie Smith with the most losses. Others playing were: Ann Parham, Kenna Kay Nuckols, Caroline Abrego and Louise McCoy. If you’ve never played, it couldn’t be easier and we loved you to join us!
Activities at the Citizen’s Center beginning Feb. 20: closed (but Gospel music/potluck will still be on at 6) on Monday, Bingo and wood carving on Tuesday; Celebrating February birthdays, Bunco tournament, blood pressure testing by GRMC and Dollar General shopping on Wednesday; Chess and local grocery shopping on Thursday and dance, Bingo and local grocery shopping on Friday.
Besides the scheduled activities, there are games, puzzles, Forty Two and visiting going on every day. Don’t see it on the calendar? Make a suggestion; we’re always looking for new ideas.
If you know anyone who may need meals, transportation, an emergency response system, medical equipment, Food Stamps (SNAP) or Food Bank applications, utility assistance applications or any other senior oriented services, please call or come by the Center.
Remember that you don’t have to be a senior to come and enjoy all of our activities or eat lunch with us.
