The weekend is here with fun for the whole family. Make it a great one!

1. Texas Tax Free Weekend

Don’t miss out on savings Friday-Sunday for Texas’ Tax Free Weekend. Get all your kids’ supplies and other school needs at local stores. This law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 from sales and use taxes and that can save shoppers about eight percent.

2. Concerts in the Park

If you’re looking to enjoy a relaxing evening with live music then head over the Oakdale Park at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday for the Concerts in the Park event. Mike Wissel & the Pawn Shop Pistols will play Friday night and Mike Calaway will play Saturday night. The concerts are free to the public and those attending are welcome to bring blankets, chairs and a picnic to enjoy. For more information visit the Glen Rose CVB’s Facebook page or call 254-897-3081.
