The Cub Scouts enjoyed a wonderful time at the Mineral Wells State Park at the beginning of Spring Break this past weekend. Fort Richardson State Park in Jacksboro, TX included all kinds of activities from hiking, biking, nature study, fishing and horseback riding.
Our Cub Scouts started the evening off Friday night doing entertainment for the camp. On Saturday morning a hike was planned after breakfast but changed to accommodate a historic re-enactment. The Scouts and family members then toured a frontier doctor’s office. After the hike, free time, geocaching and lunch were enjoyed by all. The Saturday evening “build your own taco salad” meal was provided by the Pack.
Special thanks to all our Den Leaders; Darren, Carl, & Tammy. Thanks to Carl West, our BALOO trained Den Leader for running the camp smoothly, and to Tammy West who oversaw the whole operation. Special thanks to Darren for his awesomeness.
Our newest Scout is in the Bear Den, Jaden Huett, and he quickly acquired his Bobcat requirements this past week We will have a great Bobcat ceremony for him at the Pinewood Derby this upcoming Saturday. Thank you to the Baptist Church for letting us use their indoor auditorium for such fun excitement.
