Join Paul Trotter and others at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 16 for gospel music and dinner at the Somervell County Citizens Center. Bring a dish to share with others. And be prepared to be completely entertained!

This Wednesday, April 18, will be the day for our 42 tournament beginning at 9am. Match or exceed 42 skills with other players and win a ribbon! Everyone has fun. Mary Riley, our volunteer, coordinates the event.

Also on Wednesday, at 11:45 am, Kevin with Cherokee Rose Therapy will present his informative speech on health and medical issues. Come listen to him and then stay for lunch which will be served at noon.

The menu that day includes chicken strips and macaroni and cheese. Yum! Our menu for the week is below.

Saturday, April 21: 7 pm Dance with Pete & Patty (Cover charge is $5. Bring a dish to share.)

We are still looking to employ a part-time custodian and substitute driver. And as always we need people to assist with homebound senior citizens. If you are interested in earning some money from any of these positions, please contact our Center for more information.

Our Center is at 209 SW Barnard, 254-897- 2139. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon. Meals eaten at the Center for those 60 and over: donations are appreciated; those under 60 years of age: $5.50; take-out meals are $3.75 for citizens 60 and over and

$5.50 for those under 60 with drink and dessert included.

Monday, 4/16: Pinto beans with sausage; turnip greens; beets; cornbread; pineapple cake.

Tuesday, 4/17: Vegetable beef soup; garden salad; cornbread; lemon pudding.

Wednesday, 4/18: Chicken strips; macaroni and cheese; Brussels sprouts; roll; peach cobbler.

Thursday, 4/19: Pork chop; blackeyed peas; okra and tomatoes; cornbread; strawberries and bananas.

Friday, 4/20: Fried fish; roasted new potatoes; cole slaw; hushpuppies, peaches.
