We’re dancing at the Center this Saturday at 7 p.m. to the music of Grant Groblebe. Bring your snacks and dancing shoes and join others in dancing through the night. Cover charge is $5 per person. We look forward to seeing you there.

Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. is games night. Bring your favorite snack and games, and show off your game skills. Then come Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. to celebrate June birthdays. Margie will be here to entertain. Lunch at noon will star roast beef and birthday cake.

Also on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Lee Home Health will be taking blood pressure readings. And at 1:30 that afternoon the drivers will be available to take those 60 and over to Dollar General, and then give you a return trip to the Center or your home.

Any resident of Somervell County who is home bound and the age of 60 and over may qualify for the Center’s meals on wheels program. Call Robin at the Center, and she will set up an appointment to come by your house to see if you qualify for a freshly prepared, hot meal delivered to you Monday through Friday (except holidays).

Friday, June 22— Fried fish, pinto beans, cole slaw, hushpuppies and cookies.

Monday— Pork cutlet with gravy, black-eyed peas, mixed vegetables, cornbread, apple cobbler.

Tuesday— Chicken sausage gumbo, garden salad, cornbread, fruit salad.

Wednesday— Pot roast, new potatoes, carrots, roll, birthday cake.

Thursday— Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, slice of wheat bread, and strawberries with whipped cream.

Friday— Grilled chicken sandwich, home fries, carrot raisin salad, peaches and vanilla wafers.

Our Center is located at 209 SW Barnard, 254-897-2139. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon. Meals eaten at the Center for those 60 and over: donations are appreciated; those under 60 years of age: $5.50; take-out meals are $3.75 for citizens 60 and over

and $5.50 for those under 60 with drink and dessert included.
