A Stephenville native has come up with a unique way to stay warm.
And yes, we know it’s 100 degrees outside, but it’s never too early to start dreaming about those cozy winter days.
Levi Lascsak has developed a unique product designed to keep you warm when it’s cold outside: A wearable blanket.
Dubbed “the most functional, around the house, wearable blanket on the market,” the Cocoonsie fits like oversized sweatpants.
“This is unlike anything else out there,” Lascsak said in a telephone interview with the E-T. “When I got the prototype I took it to my family and friends and they loved everything about it and I thought, ‘Maybe we’ve got something here.’”
Lascsak said he is a fan of the hit TV show Shark Tank, which gave him the idea to develop the functional, wearable blanket for adults.
Initial sales for Cocoonsie have been brisk. In fact, Lascsak said they are currently backordered but anticipates shipping will resume this week.
Lascsak, 38, was born and raised in Stephenville. He is a 1998 graduate of Stephenville High School and played football for the Yellow Jackets during the Art Briles’ era.
His parents, Tom and Debbie Lascsak, still live in Stephenville.
Lascsak currently lives in New Orleans.
“I’m a financial advisor by day and Cocoonsie creator by night,” he joked.
The Cocoonsie can be purchased for $49.95 from www.cocoonsie.com. They come in four colors: Navy, pink, royal blue and charcoal gray. Shipping normally takes 3-5 business days.
